Thousands attend Wings Over Solano

(FOX40.COM) — This St. Patrick’s Day weekend provided the ideal conditions for a variety of aircraft to paint the skies over Travis Air Force Base during the 2024 Wings Over Solano airshow.

Tens of thousands of people attended the free two-day event where historic warbirds and cutting-edge fighter jets met in the skies to perform a thrilling show.

Headliners the U.S. Navy Blue Angeles did not disappoint along with the U.S. Air Force’s F-22 Raptor.

Travis Air Force Base also celebrated the retirement of the long-serving KC-10 Extender as the base ushers in the new KC-46 Pegasus.

The base hosts the show for the public to show appreciation for those who have served and the communities that support its ongoing operations.
