Tennessee baseball live score updates vs Mississippi State in SEC Tournament
HOOVER, Ala. − Tennessee baseball is still in the hunt for an SEC Tournament title.
The No. 1 seed Vols (47-11) face No. 5 seed Mississippi State (36-20) on Friday at Hoover Met in an elimination game. Tennessee has won seven straight games against the Bulldogs.
Tennessee won to stay in the SEC Tournament with a 7-4 win against Texas A&M on Thursday. The Vols tumbled 13-4 against Vanderbilt in their tournament opener.
The Bulldogs hit a two-run walk-off homer against No. 12 seed Ole Miss on Wednesday to win 2-1. They topped Texas A&M 5-3 with another ninth-inning rally then lost to Vanderbilt 4-3 on Thursday to set up Friday's matchup with Tennessee.
The Vols and Bulldogs did not play in the regular season. UT swept MSU in a regular-season series at Lindsey Nelson Stadium in 2023 after sweeping MSU in Starkville in 2022. It also beat MSU in an SEC Tournament game in 2021.
