Temps dip ahead of warm, cloudy Sunday

(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Good evening and happy Saturday! After a wonderful day across the Carolinas, we are tracking a cool and quiet night for the region. On Sunday, you can expect a mix of sun, clouds and slightly warmer temperatures. That warming trend will continue through most of next week, with highs potentially pushing up towards the 90-degree mark. The week also looks mostly dry outside of some possible showers and storms on Tuesday.

As for tonight and Sunday, partly cloudy skies are on the way this evening, along with low temperatures dipping down into the mid-50s. On Sunday, we are expecting partly cloudy skies and highs that will be moving into the low 80s as a ridge of high pressure starts to build in over the region.

Heading into next week, we are expecting more warm temperatures in the region. Highs on Monday should be in the low to mid-80s, along with mostly sunny skies. Tuesday will be our best chance for wet weather during the work week, with scattered showers and storms during the afternoon.

The warmest temperatures of the week will be Wednesday through Friday, with mid-to upper-80s expected and 90s possible, especially southeast of Charlotte. Heading into next weekend we could see possible showers on Saturday along with highs in the low 80s.

In the meantime, get ready for some toasty temperatures on Sunday and heading into next week! Have a great night!
