Temps cool overnight ahead of warm, clear Monday

(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Good evening and happy Sunday Funday! Additional cloud cover helped to keep our temperatures down in the 70s this afternoon, but warmer temperatures are on the way next week. By Wednesday and Thursday, we could see highs pushing up towards the 90-degree mark. Chances for wet weather before next weekend look sparse, with just some scattered showers and storms expected Tuesday afternoon and evening.

As for tonight and Monday, mostly clear skies are expected overnight, along with temperatures that will dip down into the mid to upper 50s. Monday will bring beautiful and warmer temperatures to the Carolinas, with highs in the low 80s and mostly sunny skies.

On Tuesday, a weak frontal boundary will push into the Carolinas and bring us at least a few scattered showers during the afternoon and into the evening. High temperatures will continue to remain warm in the low 80s. On Wednesday and Thursday, we are expecting potentially the hottest temperatures we have seen so far this year, with highs pushing up towards the 90-degree mark. Along with the toasty temperatures, you can expect dry weather until Saturday, when we could see some scattered showers and storms.

In the meantime, enjoy the quiet and pleasant weather this evening! Have a great week!
