Susquehanna Township School District lunch aide allegedly shared “inappropriate material”

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– A contracted Susquehanna Township School District school lunch aide was arrested for allegedly showing an inappropriate video to students.

Susquehanna Township School District officials said the incident happened at the Thomas Holtzman Elementary School, located at 1910 Linglestown Rd. The district says the individual was employed by an external employment agency and not by the district.

According to an affidavit filed by a school resource officer from Susquehanna Township Police, Patrice Thompson allegedly showed three students a video of a woman performing a sexual act.

Police say Thompson was taken into custody when he arrived at the school and allegedly admitted to sharing the material with the students.

Thompson is facing two charges each of disseminating explicit sexual material to minors and corruption of minors. His bail was set at $25,000 and he’s set for a preliminary hearing on May 30.

The district says they have since severed ties with the external agency that employed Thompson.

“The safety and well-being of our students are of paramount importance, and we are committed to collaborating with law enforcement and relevant authorities to uphold a secure learning environment for both students and staff,” the district said. “Please continue to encourage your learner to always report their concerns to a trusted adult.”
