Temporary road closures in Summers County due to flood cleanup

SUMMERS COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — Parts of roads in Summers County will be closed for cleanup after flooding.

According to a post on the Summers County WV 911 Center’s Facebook page, parts of Ballengee and James Street will be closed on Thursday, May 16, 2024. The roads will be temporarily closed while Hinton City Works cleans up the roads after flooding that occurred on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

The Summers County WV 911 Center stated that the roads are reportedly expected to reopen late in the afternoon of Thursday, May 16, 2024.
