Tehachapi PD searches for 2 in connection to theft

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Tehachapi Police Department is searching for a man and a woman allegedly connected to a theft in the Tehachapi area.

Tehachapi police say the man and woman allegedly stole a victim’s wallet from their purse at a grocery store in Tehachapi, on May 17.

The man and woman allegedly then used the credit cards in the wallet to make multiple purchases of gift cards at multiple Albertsons locations in the Bakersfield area.

At the time of the incident, the woman was wearing a white top with a white blazer, blue jean pants, large hoop earrings and a sun-style hat. She was holding a gray-colored iPhone.

At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a white long-sleeved Ralph Lauren Polo hoodie with a pink and blue “polo” logo. He was also seen in a black PGA Tour Baseball cap and gray shorts.
