While we might be bummed we couldn’t attend such an A-list party, we’ve got evidence of the epicness, thanks to the Instagram gods. And the epicness included Swift and Ansari bonding over matching cat shirts. That’s right. Cat shirts.

As the host of this 20th birthday bash, Swift’s attire was key. Her classy cat shirt not only fit the whimsy of the event, but it was also totally in character since Swift is a known cat lover. She frequently posts about her adorable cats Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson on Instagram.

He even offered his talents to Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls’ video series Heavy Petting to help raise awareness for pet adoption. Just listen to Ansari voice the cutie-pie Buddy the Maltese!
