Suspect sought in Oceanside murder case; reward being offered

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Authorities are asking the public for help in locating a woman suspected of murdering a man in 2022 in the city of Oceanside.

On December 26, 2022, 37-year-old Jacob Sanders was found dead in the riverbed area near Benet Road and Highway 76, according to San Diego County Crime Stoppers and the Oceanside Police Department.

Authorities identified 49-year-old Aarin “Angel” Sorenson as a suspect. They described her as a transient who was known to frequent areas in Oceanside and Tijuana.

On Thursday, they said Sorenson might also be in the Las Vegas area, and is known to go by other last names: Perez, Wujick and Rincon.

Sorenson is described as five feet tall, weighing about 170 pounds, with blonde hair and green eyes.

Anyone with more information regarding Sorenson or the murder is asked to call the Oceanside Police Department at (760) 435-4378, or Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477. A reward of $1,000 is being offered in exchange for information.
