Man arrested after 4 shot in Daytona Beach, police say

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - A man was arrested after he allegedly shot four people in Daytona Beach Saturday, police said.

Around 2:10 a.m., police saw people fighting near the 600 block of North Grandview Avenue.

When they started approaching the fight, they said they saw 22-year-old Misael Maldonado fire multiple rounds from a gun.

Officers ran after Maldonado, who dropped the gun as he was running.

After a short foot chase, he was arrested and also found with fentanyl on him.

The four victims were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Maldonado has been charged with four counts of attempted murder and possession of a controlled substance, police said.
