Suspect arrested in indecent exposure case

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A man suspected of exposing himself to multiple women in the unincorporated area of Mount Helix was arrested on Tuesday, authorities said.

John Jeffrey Lynn was booked on suspicion of indecent exposure at San Diego Central Jail, Lt. Michael Gonzales with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release Thursday. He posted $10,000 bail and was released from jail on Wednesday.

Between April 28 and May 21 around 7 p.m., multiple women reported seeing a man wearing a hat, sunglasses and a hoodie to cover his face in an olive-green Subaru Outback with a covered license plate in the areas of Mt. Helix Drive and Mt. Helix Park, according to authorities.

On Tuesday around the same time in the evening, deputies patrolling near Grosalia Avenue and Pandora Drive noticed the suspect driving an SUV and pulling up alongside a woman who was walking in the area, per law enforcement. The woman told deputies the driver exposed himself and drove off.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested shortly after.
