New survey finds Americans united on protecting the nation’s water

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — This Friday marks World Water Day, and while Americans disagree on many issues, a new survey shows there is one they are united on and that’s water.

Nearly all surveyed say protecting the health and safety of drinking water and protecting the water in our nation’s lakes, streams, and rivers is vital.

AM Extra was joined by Jim Murphy, director of legal advocacy for the National Wildlife Federation, to discuss the poll results and how we can protect our clean water.
