Sunshine returns to start the week

Sunshine returns today as temperatures remain slightly below average. An area of low pressure offshore will slowly move away today and there will be some wrap-around clouds throughout the day. Winds will be out of the northeast, keeping temperatures slightly below average today, topping out in the mid 70s to low 80s. High pressure will settle in for Tuesday and Wednesday. This will warm us up to back around average on Tuesday, then above average for mid week.

Temperatures will continue to climb to around 90 inland for Thursday and Friday as sunshine continues. Our next storm system will approach the Carolinas to wrap up the week. We could see a few late day storms, mainly inland, on Friday. The front will stall to our north for the weekend, keeping rain chances around as we remain warm and muggy.
