Elmira, N.Y. (WETM)- We are tracking a slow-moving cold front that will keep rain chances in the forecast for the next couple of days. Is there sunshine anywhere in the forecast? Details below:

TODAY:

We are starting the day mostly sunny, but clouds will gradually build in front of a slow-moving cold front. This will bring a chance for isolated, spotty showers by this afternoon. We will likely see a mix of sun, clouds, and showers throughout the day. Continued southerly flow and AM sunshine will help get temperatures back into the mid to upper 70s this afternoon.

TONIGHT:

Tonight we’ll continue to track a chance for isolated showers, and after the daytime heating, we could even hear a few rumbles of thunder. Otherwise, we are cloudy and lightly breezy. Temperatures tonight are in the 50s.

REST OF THE WEEK:

We are tracking rain chances nearly every day into next week. Wednesday will have continued isolated showers with a more settled evening. On Thursday our chance for isolated showers returns with a chance for a few thunderstorms in the mix as well. Friday may start on the drier side, but showers will be returning late that night and heading into Saturday.
