Women all over Twitter have been participating in the #BaldAndBadChallenge, but this isn't your usual apply-a-zillion-lipsticks-to-your-pout kind of challenge. Instead, it carries a more empowering message, encouraging women to proudly share photos of their beautiful short haircuts. From pixies to low faded cuts to completely bald looks, women all over have been submitting photos of their cropped styles, embracing the fact that everyone is different and your hair doesn't need to look like anyone else's for you to be accepted. Women who've survived cancer and who have alopecia are also taking part in the challenge, since the hashtag provides a safe space for them to celebrate their beauty.

I'm all for this challenge and the freedom that the big chop brings. Don't get me wrong, hair is pretty and all, but it's freeing not to be attached to it.
