Students help plant trees for Arbor Day in Dauphin County

SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) – Some primary schools in Dauphin County did their part on this Arbor Day.

Kindergarten, first, and second graders at the Sara Lindemuth/Anna Carter Primary School learned about trees and the role they play during an Arbor Day celebration.

They learned about tree life cycles and helped plant trees.

“I hope that they learned how important it is for us to really take care of our environment and to know how trees really help us and provide shade and food and all of the wonderful things that they do,” Beth Miller, STEM Lab Teacher, said.

Each child also received a tree to take home and plant.
