Route 219 reopens after structure fire in Greenbrier County

UPDATE: Thursday, March 21, 2024 @ 4:01 PM | RONCEVERTE, WV (WVNS) — According to Greenbrier County Homeland Security and Emergency Management, U.S. Route 219 at Ronceverte Bridge is reopened.

RONCEVERTE, WV (WVNS) — U.S. Route 219 is closed at Ronceverte Bridge in Greenbrier County due to a structure fire.

According to Greenbrier County Dispatch, both lanes of U.S. Route 219 are currently closed and it is unknown when the road will be reopened.

Multiple brush fires continue to burn in southern West Virginia

Ronceverte Volunteer Fire Department Station 40, Lewisburg Fire Department Company 20, and Fairlea EMS are on scene.

No injuries were confirmed at this time.
