Strictly's Ellie and Vito down shots in sweet Sunday reunion

Strictly Come Dancing winners Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola had a catch-up at the weekend.

The two friends reunited for an afternoon of pasta and limoncello shots, having been joined by Vito's brother Jonathan.

Ellie marked the reunion with a snap of herself and Vito holding the shots and smiling to the camera. The former Coronation Street star posted the picture to her Instagram Stories, adding the caption "limoncello" and a lemon emoji for good measure.

Earlier this year, Ellie revealed she still speaks to her dancing partner "every single day" after they got close on Strictly.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain in March, the actor shared that, since meeting on the dancing show in September last year, not a day has gone by where she and Vito haven't spoken.

"We've spoken every single day since September," she said, quickly shutting down rumours of a romance between them.

"I think when you dance with someone, you're together 24/7. We are the best of friends. I am so lucky that I got him as my partner," she said. "We really understood each other. We bonded."

Since appearing on the BBC show, Ellie has also been romantically linked to fellow contestant and soap star Bobby Brazier, who plays Freddie Slater on EastEnders.

After fuelling romance rumours for months, Ellie has clarified the nature of their relationship earlier this month, saying: "We're great friends, we got along really well and we still do."

Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
