Stolen kitty reunited with family after two years

(PIKES PEAK REGION) — For two years, Bubba’s family was heartbroken, wondering where their beloved kitty was and whether he was okay. Then, at the end of April, they got an unexpected call.

According to a post on the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region’s Facebook page, Bubba was last seen in 2022 when someone picked him up and drove off. A neighbor witnessed the kitty-napping, but by the time they told the family, Bubba was gone without a trace, leaving a kitty-shaped hole in their lives.

Two years later, the handsome cat was brought to the shelter as a stray and scanned for a microchip. When the scanner beeped, the shelter identified him as the long-lost Bubba.

Bubba’s mom was surprised to get a call informing her that her kitty had been found. Within an hour, the family was walking through the shelter’s doors. A heartfelt reunion filled with tears, laughter, and smiles was possible, thanks to Bubba’s microchip. Now the kitty can spend the rest of his days with his loving family.
