Cash was stolen in a robbery at Central State Credit Union in downtown Stockton Wednesday morning, according to Stockton police.

At about 10:35 a.m., an adult male demanded cash from a 24-year-old employee working at the credit union, according to a Stockton Police Department post.

The man presented the employee with a demand letter, police spokesman Officer Joseph Silva said, and the employee complied with the demand, according to the post.

An "undisclosed amount" was stolen, Silva said. The man then fled on foot, the post said.
