Still trying to decide how to celebrate Easter? Here are some Sioux Falls options

Through wind, rain and yes, snow, the Easter Bunny is still on his way this Sunday.

Whether you are looking for things to do with the kids, adults only, the whole family or even your furry best friend, Sioux Falls has plenty of fun activities to make your Easter holiday eggs-traordinary!

The Orpheum’s “The Passion and the Cross”  

• When: 7 p.m. March 27-29 or 4 p.m. March 30

• Where: Orpheum Theater Center at 315 N. Phillips Ave.

• Cost: Tickets range between $15-$20 depending on your chosen seats. Purchase tickets online.

• Details: Back for its fourth season in Sioux Falls, this one-act, 2-hour and 7-minute musical features a cast of about 120 adults and children, which is the largest cast ever on the Orpheum stage. The story portrays “the peak of Jesus' ministry and takes you through His resurrection” through original, “soul-stirring ballads and musical orchestrations.” Built in 1913, the historic Orpheum Theater seats 686 and includes a large lobby and concessions area for drinks and snacks during the show.

Crooks Adult Easter Egg Hunt

• When: 7 p.m. March 29

• Where: The Wooden Nickel at 306 N. West Ave., Crooks

• Cost: Free

• Details: Annual 21+ event. Jam out with Victoria Karaoke while searching for Easter eggs filled with prizes.

Yakkity Yak Coffee Shack Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

• When: 8 a.m.-noon March 30

• Where: Yakkity Yake Coffee Shack at 7321 S. Grasslands Place

• Cost: Free

• Details: Located inside the All American Gymnastics Academy, Yakkity Yak Coffee Shack is a coffee shop run by people with intellectual and developmental differences. Grab a delicious breakfast that includes a waffle bar, French toast sticks, sausage, cereal, muffins, donuts and of course, a specialty drink and take photos with the Easter Bunny! After breakfast, enjoy Little All-Stars (ages 5 and under) from 8:30-9:20 a.m. and Open Gym (ages 6 and up)  from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Annual Great Plains Zoo Eggstravaganza

• When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 30

• Where: Great Plains Zoo at 801 S. Kiwanis Ave.

• Cost: Standard member tickets are $5 online or $7 at the door. Event admission included for Gold & Monarch level members.

• $14+ for non-members - $18 adults (ages 13-59); $14 youth (ages 2-12); infants (under 2) are free; $ 17 senior (ages 60+)

• Details: Rain or shine! Scheduled Easter egg hunts, egg-themed facts and crafts, story times, bubbles in the Plaza, fun snacks at the Cafe and of course, lots of animals! The egg hunts are sponsored by the Sioux Falls Canaries. There are also photo ops with Cagey (10 a.m.-noon), Alice & the Red Plummer (11 a.m.-1 p.m.) and Cowboy & Cowgirl (3-5 p.m.).

6th Annual Downtown Sioux Falls Easter Egg Hunt

• When: 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 30

• Where: Downtown Sioux Falls

• Cost: Free

• Details: Children and families can venture through participating shops downtown while collecting candy-filled Easter eggs and other goodies. No registration required. Check out the interactive map for which businesses will be participating. Print the list and map ahead of time here.

Shop Dog Boutique's Build an Easter Basket

• When: 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. March 30

• Where: Shop Dog Boutique at 5015 S. Western Ave., Suite 130

• Cost: Spend $50 and receive a free Easter basket to fill and/or spend $30 to receive a free spring bandana

• Details: Don’t forget your furry best friend! Shop to build your dog’s Easter basket with toys, treats, collars and more.

Skate City Eggstravaganza

3rd Annual Good Earth State Farm Easter Egg Hunt

• When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 30

• Where: Good Earth State Farm at 28318 466th Ave., Lennox

• Cost: Free

• Details: Dacotah Bank will be at the farm to hide the eggs and paint faces for this fun family event. Reserve your tickets online for each person who will be attending. Come early (the farm opens at 10:15 a.m.) and get parked. The pizza ovens will be running, the bar will be open and the animals will be waiting! If necessary, we will add a second session to keep the chaos at a minimum.

Midco Aquatic Center Underwater Easter Egg Hunt

• When: Ages 0-2 from 2:30-3 p.m.; Ages 3-6 from 3-3:30 p.m.; Ages 7-11 3:30-4 p.m..; All ages 4-4:30 p.m. - March 30

• Where: Midco Aquatic Center at 1601 S Western Ave.

• Cost: Active swim pass or daily admission rate of $5 (ages 0-2 are free); No registration required.

• Details: Underwater Easter Egg Hunt event for kids of all ages. Search for eggs in the water and win some fun prizes. Once swimmers have completed their age group “hunt,” families are welcome to stay for more swimming.

Blarney Stone Easter Brunch
