State police seeking information about damage to wind turbine in West Mahanoy Twp.
A wind turbine in West Mahanoy Twp. was damaged after someone pried open a vent and used a .22 caliber rifle to shoot into it, state police at Frackville said.
Police said the incident occurred Sunday along Route 924, when someone fired a single shot from the gun, causing more than $1,000 in damage to the turbine.
The turbine, police said, is owned by Avangrid Renewables.
According to police, after causing the damage, the actor fled on an all-terrain vehicle in an unknown direction.
