NEW YORK (PIX11) — A New York State parks employee pled guilty to official misconduct for collecting thousands of dollars in unearned state wages, New York State Inspector General Lucy Lang announced on Monday.

Daniel Blamowski, 52, of Orchard Park, will pay full restitution to the State of New York.

While he was employed by the State, Blamoski engaged in unauthorized employment for a private development firm, according to officials.

Between December 2020 and July 2021, Blamowski performed at least 92 hours of work for the private firm while he was on duty for the Office of Parks and Recreation, according to the Inspector General’s investigation.

Blamowski submitted timesheets reflecting full days worked for the State and received unearned wages, officials said.
