Jackson Twp. man marks 1,000th visit to Chick-fil-A

John Carucci, a longtime guest of the Jackson Township Chick-fil-A, has reached a new milestone in his consecutive-day dining streak. He recently enjoyed his 1,000th consecutive day visiting the restaurant.

Carucci started his streak at the Chick-fil-A on Dressler Road NW in Jackson Township in December 2020, soon after his wife died. He quickly found community at the restaurant, where he takes a seat at his usual spot on most days.

In celebration of the latest milestone, Carucci was treated to a trip to Houston by current owner-operator George Rosche and its former operator, Doug Pugh, according to a news release.

The trip included the opportunity to eat at one of the city’s most bustling Chick-fil-A restaurants, a special backstage tour and Chick-fil-A swag.

Carucci also received a video that included a special shoutout from Chick-fil-A CEO Andrew Cathy.

His go-to order remains a chicken sandwich on a multi-grain bun – no pickles – and an unsweetened tea. On Fridays, he adds an order of fries as a special treat.

He plans to continue his streak as long as he can. The chain is closed on Sundays, so his streak runs Monday through Saturday.
