Stanly County man faces child rape charges: Sheriff

STANLY COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A Stanly County man is facing child rape charges following an investigation, the Stanly County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.

An investigation was launched regarding Tyler Wayne Morgan regarding a sexual assault involving a minor. Following the investigation, Morton was arrested last Sunday, April 26th, and faces charges that include statutory rape of a child equal to or younger than 15 years old.

He was held on a $125,000 secured bond and his first court date is set for May 20th.
