It’s spring, which means pop-up produce stands around the Las Vegas valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The first of six pop-up produce stands will open on Tuesday, April 2. It will offer affordable, locally-grown, organic fresh fruit and vegetables. The stands help address problems of food insecurity that impact around 12% of the Clark County population.

Last year’s pop-ups sold nearly 2,300 pounds of produce for $4,600. Nearly half of those sales benefited people on SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program).
