Spring clean up week starts May 13 in Grand Forks and East Grand Forks
May 8—GRAND FORKS — Grand Forks and East Grand Forks will have their annual spring clean up week May 13-17.
Residents can leave their extra household garbage on the street berm for crews to pick up for free. In Grand Forks, crews will follow the street maintenance schedule, and in East Grand Forks it will follow the normal trash pick-up schedule. Have items for pickup away from mailboxes and trees and out by 7 a.m.
The Grand Forks landfill will have extended hours during spring clean up open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 13-17 and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 18. Grand Forks residents can bring household garbage there for free with proof of residence; residents can already take things to the landfill for free four times a year.
East Grand Forks household hazardous waste collection will be on 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 11 at East Grand Forks Public Works.
