Spring child found: Montgomery County authorities locate mother of boy found alone
SPRING, Texas - The mother of a child who was found alone near Spring on Tuesday morning has been located, authorities say.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office had asked for the public’s help to identify the child and find his parents after he was found in the 25000 block of Pitkin Road.
In a noon update, the sheriff’s office said his mother was found at a hotel close to where the child was found, but it wasn’t known how he got outside.
Authorities say his grandmother also saw a post on social media and contacted dispatch with information about the child’s mother.
The sheriff’s office says the child was released to other family members and CPS is involved.
