South Alabama Veterans Council to hold ceremony for Armed Forces Day

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — The South Alabama Veterans Council is set to host a ceremony to “honor those who serve, have served, and those who have fallen in military service,” on Armed Forces Day.

According to a press release, the ceremony is set for Saturday, May 18 at the Fallen Heroes Memorial at USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park.

LOCATION:

The ceremony, which is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., will feature keynote speaker Rear
Admiral Phillip Lee Jr, Retired USN. There will also be a ride-in of Rolling Thunder, an assemblage of motorcycle groups, and a presentation of the colors by the Joint Honor Gaurd, P.L Wilson Marine Corps League.

Refreshments will be served following the ceremony, according to the release.
