Mr. Perfect

Donald Trump stated, he ‘never’ had to ask for God’s forgiveness, because he’s ‘never’ done anything wrong. A 77-year-old man believing he is perfect in God’s sight has to be insane. Romans 3:23 states, “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Yet, we have Christians believing this man, and not the words from the Holy Bible.

No-parking zone

Just read a story about Amtrak’s departure and arrival times and trains provided for the Mobile station. Each train will have two diesel locomotives and three passenger cars with a capacity of 70 passengers in each car (210 passengers total). But they are only providing 15 parking places for train customers, and a 106 foot-by-12 foot platform. Think about it: up to 210 passengers with 15 parking spots.

Economic suicide

The good people working at Volkswagen got seduced by a union promising wealth and more comfy working conditions. This same union is now slowly bleeding jobs in other areas where people succumbed to their siren song. Economics will eventually lead the auto company to either move the plant or increase the robotics component in the assembly process and thus decrease the number of employees. Assembling cars and trucks is a very honorable craft, but artificially inflating wages that make the product they produce unaffordable is economic suicide.

Hamas and Israel

Palestinians and their supporters have good reasons to protest against the devastation that Israel has inflicted on the residents and infrastructure of Gaza. Israelis and their supporters have good reasons to protest against the horrors that Hamas inflicted on Israelis on Oct. 7, plus Hamas’ ideology of destroying Israel. Is it possible for Palestinians and Israelis to work out living together in peace? I think so, but it is not possible to live in peace with people who are actively committed to destroying you.

The new middle

I’m close to the middle, but considered conservative by most people, due to my age and attitude. The hard left isn’t as far from the middle as the hard right. No wonder the right sees the left as “far-left.”

Protesters

I have an idea. Round up all the anti-Jewish protesters, put them on a military aircraft, and drop them off in Gaza. If they really believe what they are shouting, they should be thrilled.

The future

Reading, watching and listening to the news, U.S. citizens need to start learning multiple languages. English is soon to become a second language.
