Smith County ESD2 fights fire across the street from department

ARP, Texas (KETK) – Smith County Emergency Services District 2 (ESD2) firefighters responded to a house fire that they were able to see from their bay doors on Tuesday in Arp.

Affidavit reveals new details in shooting death of Smith County 79-year-old

According to a release, Smith County ESD2 firefighters opened the bay doors of their station Tuesday morning and saw a house fire and were able to immediately respond. Firefighters were reportedly able to contain the fire to the downstairs, but there was smoke damage sustained upstairs.

Officials said that there was one individual inside that was able to make it out, but that a total of four people have been temporarily displaced due to the fire and smoke damage.
