Slab replacement to close lanes of I-20 between McDuffie, Columbia Counties

(WJBF) – An upcoming roadwork project is set to cause some lane closures on the interstate this month.

DOT will be removing and replacing concrete slabs on I-20 Westbound from the exits for Harlem (Exit 183 at Appling Harlem Road) in Columbia County and Thomson (Exit 175 at Cobbham Road) in McDuffie County.

Construction will run throughout May until at least June 30.

During this project, DOT is asking the public to be aware of crews in that area and to travel safely.
