Skunk tests positive for rabies in Blackwell

BLACKWELL, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The City of Blackwell alerted the public of a rabid skunk on Wednesday, found last Friday.

A skunk was killed at a church and was then sent for rabies testing. The testing came back positive.

The City of Blackwell asks that if you or your pet could have come in contact with this animal, let City Hall know at (325) 282-2082.

According to the CDC, initials symptoms of rabies in humans can be similar to the flu and could progress.
