Six injured in two-car crash on Route 4 in Paramus

PARAMUS — Six people were injured in a two-car crash on Route 4 westbound near Paramus Road at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

According to Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti, officers found two vehicles, both with three occupants trapped inside. Several occupants sustained serious injuries, Guidetti said.

All six were taken to nearby hospitals. Route 4 has since been reopened.

The Bergen County Fatal Accident Investigation Team and the Paramus Police Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the crash.

An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of acting Chief Matthew Finck and the Paramus Police Department.
