Silverdale man struck by hit-and-run driver on Highway 303

A 32-year-old Silverdale man was taken to St. Michael Medical Center Friday morning after being struck by a hit-and-run driver the Washington State Patrol is now seeking.

According to a WSP incident report, a vehicle was driving south on Highway 303 near the intersection with Winters Road, just north of the traffic light at Fairgrounds, when the pedestrian walking on the shoulder was hit from behind around 6:30 a.m. The car continued driving south, away from the scene.

One lane of the highway was closed for a period of time Friday morning, according to WSP. A post to the social media platform X from WSP said that a suspect vehicle has been identified after tips from witnesses, and that the injured man is in stable condition as of Friday evening.
