Silver Dollar City nominated for Best Theme Park in America

BRANSON, Mo. (KNWA/KFTA) — Silver Dollar is in the running for the title of “Best Theme Park” as a part of national polls conducted by USA Today.

People can vote for Silver Dollar City to be featured in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

Silver Dollar City is one of 20 theme parks in the running for the 10 best in the category. As of March 25, Silver Dollar City is in first place in the voting.

“Silver Dollar City, with its 1880s mining town theme, attracts some 2 million visitors annually with its combination of entertainment, festivals, 100 resident craftsmen, and more than 40 rides and attractions. The park is also home to Time Traveler, the world’s fastest, steepest, and tallest spinning coaster,” USA Today said.

Voting closes at 11 a.m. CT on April 22. USA TODAY will announce the winners of the competition later in on May 1.
