Elmira, N.Y. (WETM) – Showers and storms will be with us on Memorial Day. After that, chances for showers persist into midweek. More details below:

TONIGHT:

Clouds will be on the increase for the evening with showers and storms moving in after minight. We will be on the warm side with temperatures dropping into the lower sixties and a breeze from the southeast at 5 to 10 mph.

MEMORIAL DAY:

Showers and storms will be with us for Memorial Day. We will be cooler and breezy out there with highs in the mid seventies and a breeze from the south at 5 to 15 mph.

REST OF THE WEEK:

As we progress into the week, showers will continue into Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs on Tuesday remains in the mid seventies and will drop to the upper sixties on Wednesday for midweek. After that, we finally dry out. Skies will be partly cloudy on Thursday with highs in the upper sixties. Then we round out the work week on Friday with more sunshine. Skies will be mostly sunny with highs back to near seventy.
