Elmira, N.Y. (WETM) – Showers move in for the evening and will continue into tomorrow morning. After that, sunshine and warmth returns on Sunday and into the new work week. More details below:

TONIGHT:

Showers will move back in for the evening and into the overnight. Skies will be mainly cloudy with lows in the upper fifties and a calm breeze.

SATURDAY:

We start off the weekend on Saturday with some showers possible in the morning. After that, clouds decrease back to mostly sunny. It will be a bit cooler with highs in the lower seventies and a calm breeze.

SUNDAY:

Clouds decrease and sunshine returns to round out the weekend! Skies will be mostly sunny on Sunday as high pressure dominates the region. We start to see more warmth as highs will be in the upper seventies to near eighty.

NEXT WEEK:

Sunshine will continue into the start of the new work week. More warmth moves in with highs in the lower eighties. Mostly sunny skies will still be with us on Tuesday. Highs will be in the lower to mid eighties. Showers and even some storms will be with us for midweek on Wedesday. We will remain on the warm side with highs in the lower eighties. Scattered showers will remain across the region on Thursday. We will be on the cooler side as a cold front moves in. Highs will be in the mid to upper seventies. We round out the work week with more sunshine, but cooler air. Skies will be mostly cloudy on Friday with highs in the upper sixties to near seventy.
