Elmira, N.Y. (WETM) – Shower start to dissipate as we continue into the evening. It will be chilly tonight before showers return Saturday afternoon. More details below:

TONIGHT:

Showers will persist into the evening before dissipating later in the day. We will be partly cloudy as we get into the early hours tomorrow. It will be chill overnight with temepratures falling into the mid forties along with a calm breeze.

SATURDAY:

We start off the weekend with some sunshine in the morning. Then showers return in the afternoon and evening. It will be a bit warmer out there with highs near sixty and a calm breeze.

SUNDAY:

Showers will continue into the morning on Mother’s Day. After that, we begin to dry out and even see the sun return in the sky. It will be a bit warmer out there with highs in the lower sixties.

WORK WEEK:

A warm front moves into the region to start off the new work week. This will bring in more rain and warmth to the region. Highs on Monday will be in the lower seventies with showers returning in the afternoon. Scattered showers will persist into Tuesday. A cold front will move in later in the day. Rain will be steadier with highs in the lower to mid seventies. Behind the front, more showers will be with us on Wednesday along with cooler air. Highs will be near seventy for midweek. We dry out for your Thursday. it will overall be a pretty nice day across the region with partly cloudy skies. Highs on Thursday will be in the lower to mid seventies. Then we see shower chances returning on Friday to round out the work week. It will continue to warm as a warm front moves through with highs in the mid to upper seventies.
