Shots fired into SUV while sisters were inside: Shaker Heights police

SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WJW) – Shaker Heights police are investigating after someone allegedly fired gunshots into an SUV while two women were inside of it Wednesday night.

According to the Shaker Heights Police Department, the shooting happened around 11 p.m. in the 14000 block of Onaway Road.

When they got there, officers spoke with the victims, a 34-year-old Shaker Heights woman and her 32-year-old sister.

The women told investigators a suspect (or suspects) in a silver KIA Soul fired two shots into their Honda CRV before driving away, according to the police report. The KIA was followed by a red sedan that investigators say tried to pin the SUV in.

Feds charge 3 with robbing mail carrier

The women weren’t injured, but the passenger side tire and rear passenger side window were struck by bullets, the police report said.

Detectives learned that the KIA was reportedly stolen out of Cleveland.

The case remains under investigation at this time.
