Shooting near Fayetteville Airbnb leaves one injured, suspect on the loose

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said they responded to a call on Sunday, May 5 involving a severely injured victim.

After 1 a.m. deputies responded to a call of a possible shooting on North Salem Road, in the Northwest area just outside Fayetteville City limits, where an Airbnb was rented out for a “small get-together,” according to a news release.

Deputies said that the victim is still in hospital.

Deputies have not made any arrests and are asking the public to share any information about the shooter or the incident to contact Detective William Mason at 479-444-5724.
