Sherman daycare worker arrested on child pornography charges

SHERMAN, Ill. (WCIA) — An employee of a daycare in Sherman is under arrest after police said an investigation revealed he was producing and in possession of child pornography.

Officials with the Sherman Police Department said they were notified on April 16 of a report regarding possible child abuse by an employee of All His Children Developmental Center. They launched an investigation with DCFS, which officials said secured evidence on Friday that led to search warrants being issued.

After collecting additional evidence, officials said 29-year-old Nigel Tiller Jr. was arrested Saturday on charges of producing and possessing child pornography, Class X and Class 2 felonies, respectively.

The case remains under investigation by the Sherman Police Department and the Sangamon County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Sprinklr, a U.S. firm offering a customer experience management platform to global brands, has laid off about 3% of its workforce — around 116 people — to realign its customer operations team, the company confirmed to TechCrunch in a statement. The New York-headquartered company, which counts Microsoft, Samsung, P&G and over 60% of the Fortune 100 companies globally as customers, started notifying affected employees in markets including the U.S. and India about its decision on Thursday, TechCrunch exclusively learned and confirmed with the company through an email. "Sprinklr made the strategic business decision to realign our headcount across our customer operations organization," a company spokesperson said.
