SF man arrested for inappropriate contact with 13-year-old girl

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A San Francisco man was arrested last week for making inappropriate contact with a minor, the San Francisco Police Department announced. John Woods, 44, contacted someone believed to be a 13-year-old girl, police said.

Last month, members of the SFPD Special Victims Unit-Internet Crime Against Children (ICAC) found information and evidence linking Woods to the incident. Further investigation enabled ICAC investigators to develop probable cause for an arrest warrant for Woods.

Charges included:

  • Communicating with a minor with intentions to commit certain felonies

  • Arranging a meeting with a minor

  • Sending harmful matter to a child

“SFPD will work tirelessly and are relentless in these investigations where the most vulnerable members of our society are targeted and victimized,” SFPD said in a statement.
