Work set to start at this northeast Fresno intersection

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The City of Fresno announced Thursday that work is set to start at a northeast Fresno intersection.

Officials say the work is part of a project to upgrade the intersection at Friant Road and Audubon Drive for additional safety improvements.

The city says starting Monday, May 6, at 9 p.m., work begins during overnight hours through 6 a.m. on the right turn lane extension of southbound Friant Road and will reduce to two lanes from Shepherd Avenue to Audubon Drive.

Drivers can utilize the right turn lane at Audubon Drive during construction. The Friant Road right turn lane extension is expected to be completed by the end of July pending any unforeseen delays.
