Sesame Place San Diego to reopen water rides and attractions

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Sesame Place San Diego announced this week its slated reopening date for the park’s water attractions.

Just in time for spring, the water rides will begin operating on Saturday, March 23, with the park confirming they will be open daily.

One of these family-friendly — and wet — rides includes the Count’s Splash Castle. It’s the park’s newest addition, which features 111 play elements across a multilevel play structure.

For the toddlers and younger children, Sesame Place San Diego suggested they splash around in Elmo’s Silly Sand Slides or Big Bird’s Beach.

Children that are slightly older might prefer the thrill of Cookie’s Monster Mixer and Oscar’s Rotten Rafts.

Families can also race down Honker Dinger Dash or float down Big Bird’s Rambling River.

Another perk for spring, the park’s “Kids Go Free” deal is back for the rest of the month. This means kids ages 3 to 9 can get free admission when accompanied by an adult with a paid ticket. This offer will last until Sunday, March 31.

Currently, the park is also offering a “spring break sale” on season passes, which can be snagged for three payments of $50 per guest. These passes include free parking, food discounts, and other rewards.
