Serious crash in Tampa sends motorcyclist to hospital: TPD

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A serious crash involving a motorcyclist and another vehicle shut down roads in Tampa for several hours, according to police.

The crash occurred Sunday evening at 6:35 p.m. on North 22nd Street at East Chelsea Street.

The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition.

Both lanes were closed for approximately three hours as officials conducted an investigation. The roads have since reopened, police said in an update.

The crash remains under investigation.
