WASHINGTON, DC (WVNS) — U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) announced that $24,724,116 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has been allotted to improve healthcare services throughout West Virginia.

The funds will specifically be used to support 15 local health centers, improve maternal and child health services, and support scientific research at West Virginia University.

The investments announced today will support the critical efforts of 15 local health centers, provide essential services and resources to mothers and newborns, and advance important healthcare research at West Virginia University. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I will continue advocating for resources that enhance the health and well-being of West Virginians across the Mountain State.”
