Seems like Donald Trump's 'God Bless America' Bible is for one kind of Christian

Trump Bible a different Christianity

There are obviously different kinds of Christians, though no doubt there are some who believe that their kind of Christianity is the only kind. Some Christians believe that the Bible that former President Trump is trying to sell contradicts the heart of the Christian message. Some Christians believe that heart of Christianity is found in Jesus' criticism of the rich and his compassion for the poor. If this is the true Christian message, the "God Bless the USA" Bible is hardly consistent with the Christian point of view. The prayer of some Christians is "God bless everybody, no exceptions."

Religion often misunderstood

Never surprised by folks who claim to be religious and then use that as their platform to put their scriptural ignorance on full display. When anyone acts like an animal it's fair to call them what they are, like the miscreant who bludgeoned Laken Riley to death. They are only redeemed by God if they genuinely confess and repent and put away their ungodly behaviors. In the meantime, they fully deserve being called out for exactly who and what they are. Scripture is full of such miscreants who were called out by God and ordered to be punished by death.

Florida can't claim oldest bridge

Sorry Florida. You don't have the oldest bridge in America. The first such bridge was the John Roebling Bridge, which spans the Ohio River between Cincinnati, Ohio and Covington, Kentucky. It opened in 1867. Roebling followed it up with the Brooklyn Bridge in 1883. The secret to the strength of such a design is the iron cables used to suspend the bridge's roadway.

Israel taking its war too far

Thanks to billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to Israel, the nation is the most powerful country in the Mideast. The Oct. 7 attack by Hamas was an indefensible atrocity but after almost six months of a brutal Israeli response in which over 32,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children have been killed and Gaza levelled, isn't it enough? Must this country send Israel $3.8 billion in weapons to continue the slaughter? Wouldn't it have been prudent to condition the sending of weapons to Israel upon Israel opening up all avenues to allow aid trucks to Gaza to prevent Palestinians from mass death due to starvation? To all governments, for humanity's sake, stop the killing.
