Isaiah Siddell, 30, was arrested on Wednesday on a warrant for an open count of murder and other charges. Detectives charged Siddell and Gabriel Valenzuela-Greene Jr., 25, for the March 4 shooting in the area of 112 Indiana St. SE, near Central Ave. and Louisiana Blvd.

Police said Jacob Rivera, 34 was shot nine times and died. A woman was shot in the leg and was treated at the hospital. A witness told detectives that Siddell recognized Rivera as the person who shot him in the leg on Jan. 31, 2024 at a Pizza Hut. Police said Valenzuela-Greene Jr., also known as “Memphis,” later took a .380 caliber handgun and shot Rivera several times. The witness said Valenzuela-Greene Jr. and Siddell met up later at the Adam Food Market, located at 7817 Pennsylvania N.W. Valenzuela-Greene Jr. allegedly said, “I am a real shooter. To be an example, you gotta lead by example,” according to police.

Detectives obtained video surveillance and other phone evidence that placed Valenzuela-Greene, Jr., at the location of the shooting and at the Adam Food Market after. Police said that ballistics evidence also connected the gun used in the shooting to the Jan. 31 shooting and to another incident at the Adam Food Market where Siddell reportedly shot a dog in the face.
