The lesson in space didn’t end for students in B.L. Miller Elementary School in Sebring when the skies brightened after the April 8 total solar eclipse.

On April 11, more than 200 students and their families got to explore “space” in an inflatable planetarium in the school’s gymnasium.

Presented by Mobile Ed Productions, attendees journeyed through the universe during 45-minute guided tours of the Sky Dome. The event was sponsored by United Way’s Success After Six program.

“We’re really grateful for all the hands that went into making this event a wonderful experience for all involved,” says Jill Dennis, family engagement coordinator for Sebring Local Schools and Success After 6 coordinator. “Our students and their families had a fun time exploring our sun, moon, stars and universe – from the comfort of our gym.”
